FREE information sessions on housing rights for people with disabilities are offered by AMIDA. The sessions use kits which have been developed by AMIDA, an organisation which works at obtaining more housing and better tenancy rights for people with disabilities.

AMIDA has developed six kits covering different types of accommodation as follows:
Our information sessions are aimed at people who have intellectual disability or learning difficulties, but are also designed to alert staff to often overlooked points, which are vital for residents to be properly housed and to have their needs met.
Housing Rights Education Sessions for people with disabilities (especially intellectual disabilities or learning difficulties) and/or staff are available from AMIDA. Housing and tenancy rights information is presented using varied formats including VIDEOS and GRAPHICS.
People with disabilities conduct most sessions.
Participants receive posters, information booklets and keyrings.
